As I sit here in the bus, still sweating from the festival show in Kansas City, I am feeling frantic and shaky. Mostly because I have a “Smiths” and “Slayer” iTunes play list going. The show was good today. We played at 2PM which is quite un-atmospheric–rock friendly but there is something special about sweating it out in the middle of the day. For one, we get to see all of you. It really does make the show to see so many of you getting into it. And for a new band like us, just letting the material sink in is what is all about at this stage of our very young 1 month touring career. So winning over a crowd of people that had no idea you existed is pretty awesome.
We have one more show tomorrow in St. Louis before our two week break. We start back up on our west coast club run in Santa Barbara on June 24th. All of you in the LA area, this will be the closest headlining show that will do for awhile. These little club show are fun, intimate and special moments in time for us. Getting to meet all of you after the show has been pretty cool. This why I got into this whole music thing in the first place, to have my music touch people the way so many musicians have inspired me.
