An interview with Billy and an accompanying article has been posted by the Charlotte based weekly newspaper Creative Loafing.

“Your muscles do certain things and that’s just how it comes out. There’s a human element that comes out in guitar playing just like a voice,” Howerdel says. “I hear people doing the comparing thing, and I get why people do it. I wrote stuff in A Perfect Circle and I wrote all of the stuff here, so of course it’s going to sound a bit similar to some ears. I’m fine with that. To me, it’s a different thing and there’s enough of a difference from APC.”

Head over to their site to read it in it’s entirety.

Day off in DC

We just got back from Dinner in the city. Indian restaurant called Rasika…so good. We are staying about 15 miles outside of the city. So my frustration will soon come into focus. I get back to the hotel room, stuffed beyond belief and head on over to pollstar.com to see who might have played here today. FUCK ME, MGMT is literally on stage right now at The 9:30 club. No way I could get there and get in time as it is 11:30. I love their music. It is rare that you get to see bands you really like on a day off. I just wrote to them on myspace to communicate as much. First thought that entered my mind was, “do these guys even read this page?” A question many of you ask us often. Made me smile in the humblest sort of way.

New Blog post up on the official myspace page. I think the boys are getting lonely on the road - if you live in WV and are attending the show go give them all hugs.

We just wanted to reach out to all of you in or near the Huntington, WV area and let you know that we will be playing a makeup show at Huntington Music Hall this tuesday, July 29th. We were originally scheduled to play there June 10th. This is our last headlining show for awhile as we are in the middle of the Project Revolution Tour. If you live in the area, we would love to hear from you….are you coming to the show? Did you see or hear any advertisements for it? What are you wearing right now? Talk to us.

see you there!

Some of you may have noticed the bulletin posted by the band on Myspace the other day alerting everyone of a performance on WRAT 95.9 out of New Jersey.

That performance can now be heard by using the player below.

Special thanks go out to those who made this available.

Asbury Park Press reports that State Police arrested 17 concertgoers on various charges during Wednesday’s (July 23) Projekt Revolution Tour at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.

The offenses included underage drinking, stun gun possession and marijuana possession, according to State Police Sgt. Julian Castellanos.

The concert was scheduled to feature musicians and groups including LINKIN PARK, CHRIS CORNELL, THE BRAVERY, ASHES DIVIDE and BUSTA RHYMES.

Castellanos said three adults — a 31-year-old from Park Ridge, a 28-year-old from Gibbstown and a 41-year-old from Linden — were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.

Let this be a lesson…leave the weed and stun guns at home kids!!
