So it’s official: we have chosen The Prey to be the new single. We were trying to decide for quite a while and after getting back input from you and asking just about everyone we know what they feel it should be, it seemed The Prey was the best choice for the next single.

Now that the single is out, we need all the help we can get from you fans out there. So call up your local rock radio stations and tell them to play The Prey. Tell your friends, tell everyone you can and it will help us a lot!

thank you all for your continued support

Billy, Jeff, Matt, Andy, and Adam

Hey everyone it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I’m about 20 minutes from bus call to head over to the venue for tonights Projekt Rev show outside of Pittsburgh. We kicked off the first show of the PR tour a couple days ago outside of Boston and it was an absolute blast! We took some time to hit up the batting cages over by the revolution stage…and yes I resisted the urge to pick up the Yankee batting helmet for respect of the locals…Boston fans + Beer + dude from jersey flaunting the Yankee symbol = a potentially bad situation…heheh…but we all had fun…and Billy impressed us all with with his bat skills.

Our set felt really good on the big stage and although we started around 5:30 the stage lighting def helped us get into the mood and pick up the intensity. Afterwards, I was able to step out and watch Chris Cornell kick some serious ass with his amazing vocals. And I had a great time playing keys with LP and Busta or their new single. The energy they create on stage together is something that should not be missed!

So, I hope you all enjoyed the show in Mansfield as much as we did and we look forward to tonight. See you then…

Adam

Simon Fraser University’s Independent newspaper The Peak has posted a fantastic review of the headlining show that took place at Richards on Richards in Vancouver on July 3rd.

“Closing with first single “The Stone,” the band showed a level of professionalism uncommon for a group in such early infancy. Through a masterful combination of controlled chaos and unabashed emotional vulnerability, Ashes Divide is the antithesis of most modern rock. The musicians are genuine, lacking the inflated egos of the typical rock band, which results in a greater feeling of identification with the band for the audience. The look of modest bashfulness that flashed across Howerdel’s face whenever the audience enthusiastically roared with approval spoke volumes.”

Radio station KX96 out of Western Manitoba has posted a very brief article regarding ASHES dIVIDE and their involvement in the Projekt Revolution Tour.

Howerdel told us it doesn’t matter to him at this early stage in the band’s career how big the shows are or who they’re playing with: “It’s part of the deal, especially when you’re just starting out. You go where they tell you to go. You know, we kind of leave it up to the people who work for us to do that, and the booking agent and management kind of pick what would be best for us to go out and head to. It’s later on when you get a little bit of flexibility and a little bit of success that you can start to pick and choose where you go and what you do.”
